COUNSELING
At the Aisling Center we have a full-time professional, experienced social worker who is available Monday-Friday and on an as needed basis. Services are available for walk-in clients as well as by appointment. Confidentiality is always practiced; therefore anyone who avails of this service should feel free to come in for counseling knowing that a foundation of privacy, trust and respect for all individuals is exhibited at all times here at the Aisling Irish Community Center. We also have experienced psychotherapists and counselors available for both evening and weekend appointments, either here at the center or at another location if preferred. If you are finding it difficult to cope or have a particular problem, or if you know someone who is feeling depressed, please let us try to help. Our trained staff are on hand to deal with daily “walk-ins” in need of social service referral information and assistance i.e. alcohol and drug problems; depression and suicide awareness; domestic violence; rape, sexual assault; homelessness; financial problems, relationship issues; emotional and family pressures; pregnancy and health insurance. HEALTH CARE & BENEFITS
We also offer assistance with applications for benefits and entitlements such and Unemployment Benefits, Medicare, Medicaid, Food Stamps and Public Assistance, Pre-Natal Care Assistance Program etc. If we do not know the answer rest assured that we will work to the best of our ability in order to assist you effectively. Assistance is provided with health insurance issues including Medicaid application forms, and referrals. We will also assist with emergency medical situations.

PREVENTATIVE MENTAL HEALTH PROGRAMS
Programs include a health and wellness campaign in the Irish/Irish American community and a suicide prevention program targeted at the entire community. Throughout the winter season, monthly workshops on various mental health issues take place at the center. Topics recently discussed in an open forum include depression, domestic violence, drug and alcohol dependency, and suicide. Please check our News & Events section regularly for upcoming workshops.

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL WELL-BEING
Several classes for the mental and physical wellbeing of people of all ages whgo are living or working in the community are held at the center. We offer weekly classes in Yoga, Chair Yoga for seniors, Zumba Dance Fitness, Kickboxing, Boot Camp and Weight Watchers. Check the Weekly Schedule for days/times of the various classes.

MOTHERS & TODDLERS GROUP
The Moms & Tots group meets every Tuesday morning @ 9:30am. We have toys, books, crayons, etc for the children to play with and keep themselves entertained while the parents can relax and get to know each other. It is a great opportunity for mothers from the local community to socialize. New mothers & toddlers are always welcome to come along. Santa Clause visits the children here at the center every Christmas with gifts, while the Easter Bunny calls to see them at Easter.
