Purchaser Needed (Drywall Subcontractor)

 

Qualified purchasers must be competent in their responsibility for negotiating with suppliers and sellers of the assorted products and services that the organization needs, also need to coordinate the logistics of having them delivered. The duties include the following:

  • Sourcing suppliers based on price, availability, necessity, quality, and logistical expenses.
  • Collaborating with various internal departments to ensure that they fulfill all customer requests.
  • Negotiating sale agreements and supply contracts in ways that benefit the company.
  • Coordinating with shipping agencies, sellers, and Internal Department to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Coordinate the buying of finished products, materials and services in a professionally coordinated way.
  • Collection of documents such as submittals, cut sheet, leed, etc.
  • Coordinate Equipment rentals (lift, machines, etc.)

Requirements:

  • Must have experience in purchasing or similar
  • Must have knowledge and understanding of the market for construction materials (Drywall Subcontractor).
  • Verifies/Approves receipt of items by comparing items received to items ordered; resolves shipment errors with suppliers.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Effective verbal and written skills (Spanish is a plus).
  • Analytical thinking skills
  • Negotiation skills
  • Willing to check emails, answer phone calls off hours or weekend when needed but not often.
  • Route company truck driver around the city, making sure the vehicle is in good condition, and preparing delivery reports

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 – $70,000.00 per year
