HVAC Service Technician/Installer

We are looking to hire a detail-oriented HVAC service technician/installer to maintain, repair or install our customer’s HVAC systems. The HVAC service technician/install will repair and calibrate systems and replace or assist with replacing various components such as transformers, thermostats, and compressors.

The tech/installer will diagnose problems, relay costs to customers, and offer alternative solutions. To be successful in this role, customer satisfaction, safety, and comfort should be your top priority. Ideal candidates will be patient and have excellent organizational and troubleshooting skills.

Clover Heating & Cooling is a well-established HVAC service business based in Sleepy Hollow, New York. We have been installing, servicing and repairing both residential and commercial HVAC systems throughout Westchester and Rockland counties since 1986. We provide a range of services to our customers including heating, air conditioning, indoor air quality, ductless air systems, geothermal heat pumps, and more!

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of HVAC experience as a Service Tech
  • Drivers license is mandatory
  • EPA Certified
  • Must have your own hand tools. (We do have a tool account as a benefit of employment)
  • Strong diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills
  • Have a clean DMV and be able to pass a drug test
  • Must be courteous and have the ability to communicate well with customers
  • Ability to work independently as well as a part of a team
  • A positive attitude where you don’t get rattled easily and don’t mind taking on challenging projects with the goal of exceeding the customer’s expectations
  • Dependable, punctual, and clean/neat appearance
  • In addition to normal duties, able to work in attics, crawl spaces, ability to climb ladder, and some heavy lifting
  • Integrity as well as the desire to learn and grow with the team

Summary:

  • Inform and educate clients on the condition of their system.
  • Identify the appropriate way to satisfy our customer’s needs
  • Present options tailored to each client’s needs.
  • Inspect all HVAC systems to identify preventative maintenance, repair, and replacement opportunities.
  • Ensure all appropriate tests are performed and documented during maintenance
  • Ability to manage time and remain organized.
  • Lead clients to make their best-informed decisions
  • Offer clients options, not ultimatums.
  • Install systems correctly without call backs
  • Comply with service standards, work instructions and customer’s requirements
  • Responding to emergency maintenance requests

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Salary: $20.00 – $50.00 per hour
